The Duplicate Parts report provides a list of parts that have multiple entries in MVP One.

• Quantity on Hand

Example Reports: 

1. Identify Duplicate Part Records for Cleanup

Relevant fields:

• Part ID

• Description

• Model No.

• MFR Part ID

• Vendor Part ID

How the report is used:

• Detect parts with identical or near‑identical descriptions.

• Identify duplicates created due to inconsistent naming or vendor variations.

• Review manufacturer and vendor identifiers to confirm duplication.

• Consolidate records to maintain a single source of truth.

 

2. Prevent Inventory Inaccuracies Caused by Duplicate Parts

Relevant fields:

• Quantity on Hand

• Stock Location

• Warehouse ID

How the report is used:

• Identify duplicate parts stored in different locations.

• Correct inventory counts by merging duplicate records.

• Prevent stockouts caused by fragmented inventory visibility.

• Improve accuracy of replenishment and cycle counts.

 

3. Standardize Vendor and Cost Information

Relevant fields:

• Primary Vendor ID

• Primary Vendor Description

• Primary Vendor Unit Cost

How the report is used:

• Identify duplicate parts with different vendor assignments.

• Standardize vendor relationships and pricing.

• Prevent incorrect purchasing due to mismatched vendor part IDs.

How to Set Up Report:

1. Select the report template.
2. Select the fields to include in the report by selecting them in Columns.
3. Use the Edit Filter option to further specify the report results.
4. Select Save and Run.
