InformationTitleCreating Meter-Based PMsContentContent PMs may be scheduled using a calendar- or meter-based recurrence pattern. On a Meter based PM, a Work Order is generated automatically each time a Meter Reading is entered that is the Perform Every amount over what is currently displayed in the Last Performed Reading column on the Scheduling tab of the PM. In order to create a meter-based PM, use the following steps:Select Work (from the side menu bar).Select PMs.Select +New.Enter the required information in the General tab and any desired optional information.Select the Scheduling tab. Select the +Add in the "Meter" sub-section within the Scheduling tab.Choose the Asset ID.Choose the Meter ID (this can be the Meter attached to the Asset from step 7, or any other Meter).Enter the Perform Every value- This will be the value of how often you want the PM to generate a Work Order, based on the meter reading. As an example, if you want the PM to generate a Work Order for a Vehicle asset, to check the oil every 3000 miles, you would set the "Perform Every" to "3000". Enter the Last Performed At value. If the PM has never been performed then 0 is acceptable.Enter the Last Rollover Count - This must match the Meter as configured on the Asset record or the PM will not generate.Enter Completion Window, Downtime, and No. of Times completed if necessary.Select Shadowing if necessary (Meters shadow smallest to largest recurrence patterns).Select OK.Select Save.
