The Cycle Count Discrepancy Report shows any changes in quantity as a result of a Cycle Count.

1. Identify Shrinkage, Overages, or Counting Errors

Relevant fields:

• Old Quantity

• New Quantity

• Change in Qty

• Transaction Date

How the report is used:

• Detect discrepancies caused by miscounts, unrecorded usage, or theft.

• Review adjustments to identify patterns of shrinkage.

• Validate that cycle counts are performed correctly.

• Support corrective actions such as retraining or process improvements.

 

2. Validate Inventory Accuracy for Critical or High‑Value Parts

Relevant fields:

• ABC Class

• Unit Cost

• Total Cost

How the report is used:

• Prioritize review of discrepancies for A‑class or high‑cost parts.

• Identify financial impact of quantity changes.

• Support audits and compliance with inventory policies.

• Ensure critical parts are available when needed.

 

3. Adjust Replenishment Settings Based on Count Results

• Reorder Method

• Reorder Point

• Reorder Quantity

• Min / Max

How the report is used:

• Identify parts frequently understocked or overstocked.

• Adjust Min/Max levels based on actual usage trends.

• Prevent unnecessary replenishment triggered by inaccurate quantities.

• Improve forecasting and inventory planning.

 

 

How to Set Up Report:

1. Select the report template.
2. Select the fields to include in the report by selecting them in Columns.
3. Use the Edit Filter option to further specify the report results.
4. Select Save and Run.
