InformationTitleEstimated vs Actual Costs on Work OrderContentContentOn Work Orders, there are two types of costs, Estimated and Actual. Estimated Costs are those that are expected, but are not necessarily fully realized. These Estimated Costs do not transfer to the Asset of the Work Order. Only Actual Costs will transfer to the Asset of a Work Order. When reviewing the Costs tab of a Work Order, there are columns for both Estimated Costs, and Actual Costs. The Estimated Costs will be displayed in columns labeled with "Est.", the Actual Costs will not. For Labor Costs you can review the Actual Costs by using the following steps: Select Work (from the top menu).plSelect Work Orders.Navigate to the appropriate Work Order.Select the Costs tab.Select the Labor Details tab (this is listed below the primary tabs (General, Schedule, etc). For Part Costs you can review the Actual Costs by using the following steps: Select Work (from the top menu).Select Work Orders.Navigate to the appropriate Work Order.Select the Costs tab.Select the Parts Details tab. The ability to see Work Order Costs is controlled via the Roles setup.
