A PdM allows for Work Orders to be generated based on the results of Text or Meter Readings. Please reference this article to learn more about the difference between PMs and PDMs.

 

Creating New PdMs

To create a PdM use the following steps:

  1. Select Work.
  2. Select PdM.
  3. Select New.
  4. Enter a PdM ID.
  5. Enter a description and any other optional information.
  6. Select the Scheduling Tab.
  7. Select Add under Text Reading or Meter Reading-based schedules.
  8. Enter in the required information.
  9. Repeat steps 6 - 7 as necessary.
  10. Select Save. 

 

 

How to Fill Out a PdM Record

 

General

PDM ID: This field provides a name for the PdM record.

Description: This field provides additional details about the PdM.

Type: This field allows you to link a Work Type to the PdM.

Priority: This field allows you to link a Work Priority to the PdM.

Expense Class: This field allows you to link an Expense Class to the PdM.

WO Status: This field will provide a WO Status to WOs generated from this PdM.

Sub-Status: This field will provide a Sub-Status to WOs generated from this PdM.

Assigned To: This field will determine the User that WOs generated from this PdM are assigned to.

In Service: This field will determine whether or not this PdM is In Service.

Craft Hours

  • Craft: This field allows you to link a Craft record to this PdM.
  • Total Craft Hours: This field will determine the total number of Craft Hours needed on this PdM.
  • No. of Workers: This field will determine the total number of Workers needed to complete this craft.

Skills

  • Skill ID: This field allows you to link a Skill record to this PdM.

Tools

  • Tool ID: This field allows you to link a Tool record to this PdM.

Notes: This section allows you to link a Notes Template to this PdM.

 

 

Scheduling

Meter

  • Asset ID: Link an Asset to generate WOs based on a Meter Reading.
  • Meter ID: Link a Meter for the above Asset.
  • Min: The minimum Meter Reading that will cause this PdM to generate.
  • Max: The maximum Meter Reading that will cause this PdM to generate.
  • Completion Window (Days): The number of days that this PdM's WOs should be completed in.
  • Downtime (Hours): The number of Hours that this PdM's WOs will be Down.
  • No. of Times Completed: The number of times that this PdM has been completed for this Meter.
  • Regenerate only if WO is completed: This will determine whether or not the PdM will regenerate if it has an open WO.

 

Text Reading:

  • Asset ID: Link an Asset to generate WOs based on a Text Reading.
  • Text Reading: Link a Text Reading for the above Asset.
  • Values: This is the Text Value that will cause this PdM to generate.
  • Completion Window (Days): The number of days that this PdM's WOs should be completed in.
  • Downtime (Hours): The number of Hours that this PdM's WOs will be Down.
  • No. of Times Completed: The number of times that this PdM has been completed for this Text Reading.
  • Regenerate only if WO is completed: This will determine whether or not the PdM will regenerate if it has an open WO.

 

 

Instructions

This section will allow you to link an Instruction Set to this PdM.

 

 

Costs

This section allows you to add Labor and Part costs to the PdM.

 

 

Meters

This section allows you to add Meters to the PdM.

 

 

History

This section displays all of the WOs that have been generated for this PdM.

 

 

Attachments

This section displays the image attachments that have been added to this record and allows you to add additional images. 

 

 

Audit History

This section displays any previous edits or changes made to the record.
