Warehouses are used in conjunction with Stock Locations to hold Parts and Repairable Spares. Warehouses are generally the larger physical location that contains multiple Stock Locations. Creating New Warehouses To create a Warehouse use the following steps: Select Inventory.Select Warehouses.Select New.Enter Warehouse ID.Fill out any other optional fields.Select Save. How to Fill Out a Warehouse Record General Warehouse ID: This field is used to name the Warehouse. Description: This field is used to provide additional information about the Warehouse. Cost Center: This field is used to link a Cost Center record with the Warehouse. Account Codes: This section can be used to link Account Codes to Warehouses. Account Codes are used on Parts to track where a cost is used. Balance - When a Part is received, the dollar value of the Part is added to the Balance code. It is the current on hand value. Expense - When a Part is used, the dollar value of the Part is added to the Expense code, and removed from the Balance code.Write-Off - When a Part is adjusted, the dollar value of the Part is added to the Write-off code, and removed from the Balance code. Notes: This field can be used to add additional notes regarding the Warehouse. Stock Locations This section displays the Stock Locations that have been linked to this Warehouse record. This is meant to represent which Stock Locations physically exist inside this Warehouse.
