This article provides steps on how to use the Search Globally Action to search through the Part or Asset Inventory of other local sites on the same Enterprise.

The Search Globally Action is available on local Enterprise sites. This action allows users to search through the Part or Asset Inventory of other enterprise-linked sites. Users will also be able to request that parts or assets be sent to their site.

Part Global Search

Use the following steps to use the Global Part Search:
  1. Navigate to Inventory> Parts
  2. Select Action> Search Globally

From this page users will be able to Request Part Transfers from other Enterprise linked sites.

Use the following steps to request a Part from another site:

  1. Select a Part record
  2. Use Action> Request Transfer
  3. Enter in a Quantity and your Contact Information

Asset Global Search

Use the following steps to use the Global Asset Search:

  1. Navigate to Assets
  2. Select an Asset Class (Equipment, Locations, Repairable Spares, Systems)
  3. Action> Search Globally
  4. Select an Asset record
  5. Action> Request Transfer

The ability to Search Globally and Request Parts or Assets is controlled via Role setup. If you're unable to access either of these actions, please contact your site admin to request access.
