MVP One has the ability to automatically update Currency Exchange Rates via API. Please reference the Supported Currencies article to see which currencies are supported by MVP One.

If you would like to easily import all Currencies that MVP One supports with this feature, please download this completed Import Template, and use the Import Wizard to upload all currencies easily.

 

Setting a Base Currency

The first step in enabling automatic exchange rate calculation is to set a Base Currency for your site. This will provide a baseline for MVP One to compare other currencies against and provide the associated exchange rate.

Use the following steps to set your site's Base Currency:

1. Select Administration
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Company.
4. Under the Region section select a Region using the associated dropdown. This will also automatically fill out the Currency Symbol.
5. Select a Base Currency using the associated dropdown.
6. Select Save.

 

 

 

Exchange Rates

After setting the Base Currency you can create a currency record with an automatically updated Exchange Rate.

Use the following steps to enable Automatic Currency Exchange:

1. Select Inventory.
2. Select Currencies.
3. Select New.
4. Enter Currency Code in Currency Field. Select the Currency Code from dropdown and it will automatically fill out the Exchange Rate field.
5. Enter currency symbol in Symbol field.
6. Select Save.

This feature will enable you to select any currency code in circulation and automatically link it to the current Exchange Rate. This exchange rate will be periodically updated automatically to reflect the current market.

 

 

Please note that a site's MVP One licensing tier must be Enterprise in order to have access to Automatic Exchange Rates.
