Reviewing Asset Hierarchy

This article explains how to use an Asset's Location tab to view what other Assets the selected one is linked to.

In order to see where a particular Asset sits within its Asset Tree or hierarchy, users can review the assets Location tab.

Use the following steps to find this information:

Select Assets (from the side menu bar).
Select the appropriate Asset class.
Navigate to the appropriate Asset record.
Select the Location tab.

From the location tab, users can view both the Parent of the Asset and the Assets' immediate children. Selecting any of the other asset links (parents or children) will load that particular Assets record and the user can proceed up or down the tree in this fashion.
