While there is no direct Part Kit feature in MVP, Estimated Parts can be added to Work Orders, PMs, and Job Plans. This will allow Users to list all of the Parts that are expected to be required to complete a given Work Order. On each Work Order there is a section for Estimated Parts under the Costs subsection. 

In order for a technician to easily view all of the Estimated Parts needed for a Work Order, use the Pick List function. This can be accessed by selecting Send > Print Pick List. This will generate a PDF showing all of the Parts needed to complete a specific Work Order. The Pick List can be printed out and referenced by technicians on the floor. This can be used to serve a similar function as a Part Kit. 

The “Check Out Estimated Parts” action can also be used to quickly check out all of the Parts on the Pick List to the Work Order. Use Action>Estimated Parts under the Add Actual subsection. This will open a menu that will give you the option to add the Estimated Parts at their estimated quantity. The quantity can be manually adjusted depending on how many parts are used. 

 

 

PMs and Job Plans

Estimated Parts can be added to PMs and Job Plans under the Costs> Parts section of each record type. All Parts added under this section will be added to the Estimated Parts and Pick Lists of the Work Orders generated from or linked to the PM or Job Plan. 

 

Users can also quickly and easily create a Purchase Request for an Assets assigned Spare Part List, which can be set up for kitting purposes, by using the Asset Action, Order Spare Parts.

The Asset Action Menu can be accessed by using the following steps:

1. Assets
2. Select Asset Type (Equipment, Locations, Repairable Spares, Systems)
3. Select a specific Asset
4. Select the Action button
5. Order Spare Parts.
   1. As a note, all action availability is controlled via Role Setup. If you are unable to access a specific action, please contact your site Administrator to request access. 

Order Spare Parts

This action will allow you to create a Purchase Request based on a Spare Parts List linked to the selected Asset.
