Learn how to set up Merge Fields on Alerts. This will allow Users to add additional fields and links to the Alert text.

Certain alerts can be customized by adding additional text, fields, and hyperlinks added via the Merge Fields. 

To edit the Subject and Body of an alert:

  1. Select a table for an alert you wish to customize (Work orders for example).
  2. Select the notification icon
  3. Select Subscribe to Alerts
  4. Select the edit icon next to the Alert you wish to edit.
  5. Modify the text and enter additional merged fields if desired.
  6. Select "OK."

Simple HTML formatting can also be applied. For example, placing text inside <b>bold text</b>, will bold the text. 

To get access to edit the Alert text, the user must be assigned a Role with the "Edit Email Alert templates" enabled.
