MVP One's DA Connector does not control the frequency of the readings. The connector will request a subscription from the OPC server. From there the OPC server will send over readings on the frequency requested only if there is a change in value. If the reading stays the same the OPC server will not push a new reading to MVP One. How does the client determine which security profile to use? MVP One’s OPC Connector contacts the OPC server to see what profiles are enabled. The client default to none if enabled. If the only profile enabled on your OPC server is Basic256Sha256 then MVP One’s client will use that profile for connecting. How do I install the MVP One OPC Connector? The MVP One OPC Connector installation process can be found here. Why are my some of my readings failing while others are working? Meter Readings from the OPC server will fail if the value it is trying to take is greater than the Meter Rollover Point. If a Meter is set up with the value of Replace, values can never be greater than the listed Rollover Point. How are certificates managed? With OPC UA, certificates became standard for OPC Client/Server communication. To establish a secure connection from the MVP One OPC Service (client) to the OPC Server (server), both sides must trust each other's certificates. When a connection is attempted without doing this, the connection is rejected by whichever application (client or server) has not accepted the other's certificate. When this happens, typically the other application's certificate is then stored in the application's rejected certificate store. The user can then move the certificate from the Rejected Store to the Trusted Store. THIS MUST BE DONE ON BOTH CLIENT AND SERVER. The OPC Service Tray can move certificates between the OPC Service's Rejected Certificate Store and its Trusted Certificate Store. In addition to the OPC Service Tray, when running the OPC Service in a command line environment, a popup will show when the OPC Service receives a certificate from a Server that it has not seen yet. The popup will let the User determine whether or not to trust the certificate. What is the service tray? The OPC Service Tray program offers a GUI (Graphical User Interface) to configure and view the status of MVP One's OPC Connector. URL NameMVP-One-OPC-Connector
