Assets currently being used are listed as Active. When Assets become unnecessary, they can be listed as Inactivated.
 
Inactivated Assets are no longer available for use with Work Orders or Purchase Orders via the suggested text, and they are moved to the bottom of the list when viewing the page.
 
Work Orders and Work Requests can still be created for inactive Assets, but the exact Asset ID must be entered in the Asset ID field during creation.
 
Only users who can Inactive an Asset can view inactive Assets.
 
When Inactive, no PMs will generate for this Asset.
 
In order to Activate or Inactivate an Asset use the following steps:
  1. Select Assets (from the side menu bar).
  2. Select the appropriate Asset Class (Equipment, Locations, etc).
  3. Search for the Asset you wish to inactivate (or activate).
  4. From the Menu select "Inactivate" (or "Activate") to inactivate (or activate) the asset and all of its child assets.
  5. Repeat for all assets that need to be inactivated (or activated).
