There may be some cases where MVP users want to schedule a PM that operates on both a Calendar Based and Meter Based schedule. 

 

For example take the following scenario:

An Asset's manual states that it needs to be serviced by a maintenance tech after 1,500 cycles, or after 1 year of use. Whichever event that occurs first should trigger a Work Order to be generated. 

After this Work Order is completed the timer should be reset for both the Calendar and Meter. 

This will make sure that timely maintenance is completed, while avoiding duplicate work.  

 

Scheduling a PM with both Calendar and Meter

Use the following steps to create a PM operating on both Calendar and Meter Logic:

1. Create PM under Work> PMs.
2. Under the Scheduling section select Add under the Calendar subsection.
3. In the following window select the Asset ID, Next Due Date, and amount of time between Work Orders. Make sure that the "Regenerate Only if WO is Completed" box remains unchecked. Select OK to Save.  
   • For the scenario described above you would set the PM to Yearly.

4. Under the Meter subsection you would again select Add. 

5. In the following window select the same Asset ID, Meter ID, Perform Every Value, and Last Performed Reading. Again make sure that the "Regenerate Only if WO is Completed" box remains unchecked. Select OK to Save. 

• In the scenario described above you would set the Perform Every Value to 1500. 

6. This completes the scheduling process. Fill in any other optional fields and Save the PM. 

 

PM Scheduling Logic

The resulting PM Schedule created above will generate based on both schedules.

The PM will generate a Work Order for whichever criteria comes first (One year or 1,500 cycles).

Then both the Meter and Calendar schedule will be reset for the next generation.
