Enterprise Cross Site Asset Transfers

The Transfer Asset action is available to Enterprise linked sites and is used to represent the physical movement of an asset from one facility to another.
If a piece of equipment was shipped from the A Facility (a.mvpplant.com) to the B Facility (b.mvpplant.com), Users can use the Transfer Asset action on the A site, and select the B site as the site to transfer to.
This will inactivate the asset on site A and add a note indicating that this asset was transferred to site B, and when it took place. Users on site B will then find the Asset when viewing their Equipment page.

To use the Transfer Asset Action, do the following:
  1. Select Assets.
  2. Select the appropriate Asset Class (Equipment, Location, System, Repairable Spare).
  3. Select the appropriate Asset.
  4. Select Action.
  5. Select Transfer Asset.
  6. Select Site to Transfer to.
  7. Select OK.
The availability of this action is determined by Role Setup. If you do not have access to this action, you'll need to contact your local administrator to have your Role updated.
