InformationTitleEnterprise No Sync Notes FieldContentContentWhen viewing the Part Import Template (Under Administration> Import Wizard> Part) you may notice the field "Enterprise No Sync Notes." This field exists as a result of how the Notes field is handled differently on local sites connected to an Enterprise. For Enterprise setups, the "Notes" field at the local site becomes uneditable to prevent conflicting edits and ensure data consistency. Users on local sites can still add or edit the notes field, but they are technically editing the "Enterprise No Sync Notes" field when editing a Part Record. This ensures that site-specific information can be captured without disrupting any potential synchronization process. When viewing a part record, information from both the "Notes" and "Enterprise No Sync Notes" fields is combined to display a comprehensive set of part notes. This unified view gives users a holistic understanding of the part's information. However, during the editing process, users can only modify one field, based on the format of their site. Single Sites (Non-Enterprise) Users access the “Notes” field when editing a part. Users on Non-Enterprise sites cannot access the "Enterprise No Sync Notes" field outside of using an import. If the information that is entered into the Enterprise No Sync Notes field is imported into Part Records, users will not be able to edit this information via the Part Record Edit Menu. Local Sites not syncing Parts (Enterprise) Users access the “Enterprise No Sync Notes Field” when editing a Part. Users on an Enterprise Local site cannot access the “Notes” field outside of using an import. If the information entered into the “Notes” field is imported into Part Records, users cannot edit this information via the Part Record Edit Menu. Local Sites syncing Parts (Enterprise) Users access the “Enterprise No Sync Notes Field” when editing a Part. Users on an Enterprise Local site cannot access the “Notes” field, as this is controlled from the Enterprise site. When Part Sync is enabled via Enterprise, users cannot use the Part Import.
