InformationTitleCreate a New UserContentContentCreating a new User is the first step in getting someone set up to use MVP One. This process must be completed by a site Admin. Use the following steps to create a new User Login: Select Administration.Select Users.Use the "New" action in the upper right. This will open the New User window which will allow you to fill out the new User's information. Enter all required User information including their People ID, Username, Password, and Role.Select Save. Required User Fields: User Type: This field will define what type of User you are creating. You can select from Maintenance, Contractor, Requestor, Customer, or TPM. The differences between these User Types is explained in the User Type Breakdown article. People ID: This field is where you will select a People ID to link to this User. A previously created People ID can be selected or a new People ID can be entered. If a new People ID is entered then a new People record will be created alongside the User record. First Name: This field will set the First Name of the User. This field will be auto filled if a previously created People ID is selected. This field must be filled out manually if a new People ID is entered. Last Name: This field will set the Last Name of the User. This field will be auto filled if a previously created People ID is selected. This field must be filled out manually if a new People ID is entered. Username: This will define what Username this User will use to login. Password: This will define what Password this User will use to login. Please note that users will be forced to update their password once they login for the first time. Therefore the user's initial password is just a temporary default. Confirm Password: Re-Type the Password entered in the Password field. Optional User Fields: Authentication Type: This field determines how a User's login will be authenticated by the system. You can select either Plant, SAML, or OAuth Authentication. Session Timeout: This field determines how long a User can be inactive before they are force-logged out by the system. Asset List ID: This field determines what Assets a User can view. This will default to All_Access, allowing Users to view all active Assets. Report List ID: This field determines what Reports a User can view. This will default to Reports_FullAccess, allowing Users to view all Reports. Part List ID: This field determines what Parts a User can view. This will default to All Access, allowing Users to view all active Parts. Applied Roles: This section will allow you to Add a Role to a User. These Roles will determine what permissions a User has in MVP, and must be previously created under Administration> Roles. More information can be found under Create or Edit a Role. A User must have at least one Role applied. Mobile Defaults: This section will allow you to set Mobile Defaults. This will determine what values are selected by Default when using the MVP Mobile App. Asset Class: When a new WO is created on the mobile app, the Asset Class will default to this value. Priority: When a new WO is created on the mobile app, its Priority will default to this value. Stop Status: When a WO is stopped on the mobile app, it will default to this Status. Hold Reason: When a WO is put on Hold on the mobile app, it will default to the Sub-Status selected here. Work Type: When a WO is created, it will default to this Work Type. URL NameCreate-a-New-User
