InformationTitleAsset TreeContentContentThe Asset Tree, or asset hierarchy, is a way to organize your list of assets. This allows users to better understand the location of an Asset, in relation to a specific line or an entire physical location. For example, you may have an Asset Tree with the following structure: MainPlant - LOCATION Line001-SYSTEM Conveyor001-EQUIPMENT Motor007-REPAIRABLE SPARE Organizing your assets in this way allows users to know where different assets exist in relation to one another. For example this set up would allow a user to know that Line001 is in the location MainPlant, and the other piece of equipment that is part of that line (the equipment Conveyor001). Viewing an Asset Tree To view the existing Asset Tree for an Asset go to the Asset Tree page: Select Assets.Select Asset Tree.Select the Asset Class of the asset.Select the Asset ID. This will display the current Asset Tree and what Child Assets are linked to the selected Parent Asset. Add Child Assets: Select the green plus symbol next to an Asset ID to add Child Assets under that Asset. Remove Child Assets: Select the red X symbol next to an Asset ID to remove that Child Asset from its Parent. Asset Tree Order When an Asset Tree is created via the Import Wizard, meaning that Assets were linked to each other when imported, the order of the Assets in the tree will reflect the order that they were imported in. Therefore if Assets are imported and linked together as in the example below, then they will be stored in the same order in the Asset Tree.
