Estimated Parts represent the parts that may be needed to complete a Work Order. They can be added in two ways: while creating or editing a Work Order, or by using the Action menu on an existing Work Order.

 

Adding Estimated Parts While Creating or Editing a Work Order
1.     Select Work from the side menu bar.
2.     Select Work Orders.
3.     Select New, or locate the appropriate Work Order and select Edit.
4.     Open the Costs tab.
5.     Select Add Est. Parts.
6.     Enter the Part ID.
7.     Select the Warehouse and Stock Location.
8.     Enter the Estimated Quantity.
9.     Select OK.
10.     Repeat steps 5–9 as needed.

 

Adding Estimated Parts Using the Action Menu on an Existing Work Order
1.     Select Work from the side menu bar.
2.     Select Work Orders.
3.     Navigate to the Work Order where Estimated Parts should be added.
4.     Select Action from the bottom menu bar.
5.     Select Add Estimated Part.
6.     Enter the Part ID.
7.     Select the Warehouse and Stock Location.
8.     Enter the Estimated Quantity.
9.     Select OK.
10.     Repeat steps 4–9 as needed.

 

Additional Notes
•     A part must have a valid Warehouse and Stock Location to be added as an Estimated Part.
•     Access to the Action menu, the ability to create new Work Orders, and the ability to edit existing Work Orders are all controlled through Role setup. If these options are unavailable, contact your local administrator to have your Role adjusted.
