Failure Modes are used to denote the reason why a Work Order was created. Before you can use a Failure Mode on a Work Order, the Failure Mode must be associated with an Asset Type.

 

In order to associate a Failure Mode with an Asset Type use the following steps:

  1. Select Work.
  2. Select Failure Analysis.
  3. Select an Asset Type on the right-hand side of the page.
  4. Select a Failure Mode in the new row that appears. A Solution can also be added under the Failure Mode in the tree after the page refreshes.
  5. Repeat steps 3 - 5 as necessary.

 

Associate all existing Failure Modes to all Asset Types by doing the following on the Failure Analysis page:
  1. Select Action.
  2. Select Link Failure Mode to All.

 

Associate all existing Solutions to all Failure Modes and Asset Types by doing the following on the Failure Analysis page:
  1. Select Action.
  2. Select Link Solution to All.
