Service Line Items on Purchase Orders

On Purchase Requests (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs), users can add Line Items as either Parts or Services.

Service line items are typically for outside contractor-provided services. When creating a Service Line Item, the receive to can be anything except a Stock Location, as these are not actual Parts.

Like a Part Line Item, the Service ID you enter does not need to exist in MVP One. The Service ID field will highlight red, but users can continue saving the Line Item. Services can also be created ahead of time to standardize the process for future purchases.

To create a new Service for use with PRs or POs use the following steps:

Select Purchasing.
Select Services.
Select New.
Enter Service ID and fill out any other optional fields.
Select Save.

To Add a Service Line Item use the following steps:

Select Purchasing.
Select Purchase Requests or Purchase Orders.
Select New.
Select Items.
Select Add.
Change Type to Service.
Enter Line Item Information.
Select OK.
