InformationTitleGenerate PMs AutomaticallyContentContent PMs can be generated manually, or automatically by the system running every midnight. In order to set up automatically generating Work Orders (WOs) from Preventative Maintenance (PMs) use the following steps when logged in as an admin user: Select Administration.Select Settings.Select Work.On the General tab, set the Generation Service to On. Each night, around midnight, the system will automatically generate Work Orders (WOs) from Preventative Maintenance (PMs) as specified by the following 3 fields: Backlog - the start date. How far back the system will look for Preventative Maintenance (PMs) to assign to Work Orders (WOs) You'll only need to set this if you have Next Due Dates that are in the past.Frequency - the end date. How far forward the system will look for Preventative Maintenance (PMs) to assign to Work Orders (WOs).Assigned By - will automatically populate the selected person's name on the Work Orders (WO) generated. Select Save. The PMs that are generated, are based on the Next Due Date. If the Next Due Date is between the dates chosen from the Backlog and Frequency, then the PM will generate as many times as necessary based on the PM Scheduling (Daily, Weekly, etc). For example (the week of 6/4/2017): With a Backlog set to 1 week and a Frequency set to 1 week, PMs whose Next Due Date are within 1 week before today, and 1 week past today will generate. The date range used to generate will be 5/28/2017 - 6/11/2017. If you had a daily PM with a Next Due Date of 6/1/2017 the PM would generate 11 Work Orders (assuming the schedule is for all 7 days of the week). URL NameGenerate-PMs-Automatically
