Enterprise Part Request Action

On Enterprise linked sites, a Part Request Action is available for selection within the Role Manager. The Part Request action is used in conjunction with the Search Globally action. This allows users to search for and request Parts from other sites within the Enterprise.

 
Adding the Part Request Action
 
To add the Part Request Action to a Role do the following when logged in as an admin user on an Enterprise linked site:
  1. Select Administration.
  2. Select Roles.
  3. Select Role to Edit.
  4. Select Edit.
  5. Select the Actions tab.
  6. Under Parts check the box for "Part Request"
  7. Select Save.
 
 
Submitting a Part Request
 
To use the Part Request action do the following when logged into an Enterprise linked site:
  1. Select Inventory.
  2. Select Parts.
  3. Select Action.
  4. Select Search Globally.
  5. Choose a site to search in, or use the default selection of all.
  6. Enter the search criteria (Search Globally uses the same search setup as the Advanced Search on other MVP One pages).
  7. Select Search.
  8. Choose the correct Part.
  9. Select Action.
  10. Select Request Part.
  11. Enter in the required information.
  12. Select OK.
 
 
Approving a Part Request
 
To approve a Part Request on an Enterprise linked site:
  1. Log in to the site the Part Request was sent to.
  2. Select Inventory.
  3. Select Part Requests.
  4. Choose Sending tab.
  5. Select Part from the list.
  6. Select Action.
  7. Select Approve.
