These available hours appear on the Scheduler and the Employee Productivity Report. Creating New Shifts To create a Shift use the following steps: Select People.Select Shifts. Select New.Enter Shift ID.Select a Start Date.Select Add and Enter in a Start Time and number of Hours. Repeat this step as many times as necessary.Enter a description to add additional details.Select Save. When creating a Shift, you must enter both the days that are being worked and the off days with zero hours as well. Enter days in the shift until the pattern returns to the next workday. For example a 5 on 3 off shift would be entered as the following: Monday - 10Tuesday - 10Wednesday - 10Thursday - 10Friday - 10Saturday - 0Sunday - 0Monday - 0 After day 8 you have returned to the next workday. At this point, your Shift is complete and can be saved. How to Fill Out a Shift Record General Shift ID: This Shift will provide the name of the Shift. Description: This field will contain additional details about the Shift. Start Date: This field will provide the start date of the Shift. Days Day: This field will be used to determine the day of the week. Start Time: This field will determine the start time of the Shift for that weekday.
