InformationTitleBatch EditContentContentBatch Edit enables multiple records to be updated simultaneously within a list view. For example the Scheduled Start Date field for multiple Work Orders can be updated at the same time using the WO list view. Furthermore multiple parts can be selected and then an action can be performed. For example multiple Part records can be selected, and then the action "Print QR Codes" can be used to print QR Codes for all of those Parts. To use Batch Edit use the following steps: Navigate to the module where multiple records need to be updated. For example Work> Work Orders.Select multiple records by checking the checkbox to the left of them. Selected records are highlighted in orange.Using your mouse hover over the column of the field that needs to be updated (within the highlighted orange section). If a field can be edited a black pencil icon will appear. When the black pencil icon displays, double-click the field and a popup will prompt for a new value to be entered.Enter the new value.Select OK. Batch Edit Example In this example, Batch Edit is used to update the Assigned To for the following four selected records. If the "Keep Records Selected" checkbox is checked off, then the selected records will remain highlighted after the Batch Edit is completed. Closing Work Orders Using Batch Edit After selecting multiple WO records using batch edit, users will have the option to "Close" or "Complete and Close." These actions will respectively close the WO record without changing its status, or close the WO record and change its status to Completed.
